What are Maori Herbs?
Maori herbs are those edible plants that have been known since days long past in New Zealand. The native peoples of Aotearoa, the Maori, long cherished these herbs as healing plants. Taking these herbs used by the native Maori and adding in the knowledge of traditional European herbology, we are now able to tap into the power of these amazing Maori herbs.
The extract produced from these Maori herbs, known as "Rongoa" among the Maori people, or quite simply "medicine," is used to maintain and conserve good health.
The French healer Susan Aubert fell in love with these Rongoa and learned the secrets of their properties and extract from a Maori healer. Becoming fluent in the Maori language along the way, her studies, added to her own knowledge and experience, helped her to create a recipie. From a recipie to a catalogue, she has helped to open up the world to Maori herbs.
The Holisitc New Zealand series of products contain many of the various Maori Herbs. For their various properties and beneficial effects, see the product information page.
